Paranormal Romance My Wolf Cowboy by Rose Wynters and Giveaway

Virtual Book Tour Dates: 4/14/14 – 4/28/14

Genres: Paranormal Romance, Plus-Sized Romance

Release Date: 3/25/14

Wolf Town Guardians – Born to walk this world as both wolf and human, these men take their role as protectors very seriously. Enjoying sensual pleasures as they please, this group of alpha werewolves are the finest when it comes to protecting their hidden settlement.
Guardians are the masters of self-control, taking pride in their authority and hard, muscled bodies. That all changes at the first scent of their mates. Their control snaps. The mating heat begins.
This is their stories.

To claim his mate, Connor will have to break all of the rules…

It’s a good thing rules were made to be broken.

Connor Bouchard is a werewolf with a huge secret. He’s mated, but he’s done everything he can to avoid claiming her. But the wolf that lives within him has had enough. And even if it means war, this alpha cowboy will have his mate.

Natalie Miller spent her entire life living on the Amish settlement in Missouri. Her world was safe… Until the night everything exploded in her face. She learns that nothing about her life was what it seemed… Even her. In a fiery blaze of horror, secrets are revealed… And an enemy of old comes back into play.

Forced to accept Connor’s protection, Natalie refuses to indulge in the attraction that lies between them. She didn’t count on the heat, though. It burns within her as she craves a satisfaction that she never needed before. Natalie finds herself wanted by two men, both of them willing to fight to the death to have her. Only one of them is destined by fate to have her, though.

Connor has to seduce her, the sooner the better. The full moon is quickly approaching, his opponent determined to possess his mate. Can Connor tame this wild filly before it’s too late?

He stopped in front of a stall. A horse watched them warily, her body locked in place. She was a gleaming shade of dark chestnut with a white star on her forehead. There was something almost vulnerable about the horse, something that touched Natalie deeply. “She’s beautiful, Connor. What’s her name?”
“Her name is Star,” he replied, staring at Natalie. “And she’s yours.”
“What do you mean?” She gasped out, staring between him and the horse. “This is my surprise?”
“Indeed it is.” Connor looked at the horse with a frown. “She’s a rescued horse. Her previous owners treated her horribly. It’s a wonder that she even survived, but she did. Star is resilient, but she’s not able to trust anyone. When I heard about her, I knew she needed you.” He stopped to look down at her, his expression unreadable. “Even more, I think you need her.”
“Thank you, Connor,” Natalie said, her voice trembling. She was touched by his gift, more so than words could say. Overcome by it all, she surprised them both when she hugged him.
His arms wrapped around her quickly, holding her tight. A long moment passed, and then another. In her mind, she fit perfectly within the shelter of his arms. She wondered if Connor felt the same.
“You’ve got to be shitting me,” a male’s voice interrupted them, his tone loud and incredulous.“Connor, even in the barn? Really?” He sounded disgusted as he added, “This man ought to be neutered. It’s not safe to let him roam the streets, woods, or even barns. Once he was even caught messing with one of Alexander’s maids, and you want to know what’s worse? He was wearing red lipstick.”
Natalie jerked away from Connor. She was mortified by the other man’s words. Peeking past Connor’s large frame, she saw a large Native American male standing about twenty feet back. He was with a pretty blonde female who looked extremely exasperated. He had to be another guardian, his size and demeanor left no doubts in her mind to his identity.
Connor rolled his eyes and smirked before turning around to greet him. “Oh, hell,” he drawled out in a mocking tone of voice. “So Marrok is back and looking just as grouchy as he always did. What’s the matter, old boy? Did you piss your mate off on the honeymoon and get your sorry ass thrown out in the doghouse?”

Character Interview with Connor Bouchard - Werewolf Extraordinaire and Hero of My Wolf Cowboy - By Author Rose Wynters

The Interview:

Rose Wynters: I nervously wait at the out-of-the-way diner where Connor requested our interview to take place. Located in rural Missouri, it sits next to a fairly deserted, two-lane road. The parking lot is empty, too. It consists of well-used gravel, so much so, that my car left a dust cloud when I pulled in to park. The interior is worn, the waitress bored as she comes to refill my glass of ice-cold sweet tea. I stare at her, and I have to wonder... Does she know she's in the middle of supernatural territory?

As I'm sitting there waiting, all of a sudden the scruffy wooden door opens... And there he is. My head swings back out to the parking lot, but it's still as empty as it was... Inhaling deeply, I realize he must have shifted somewhere close... And I'm about to be across the table from a man of two natures - one of them wolf, the other human.
Rose Wynters: (Swallowing hard as I stand up.) Connor, thank you for coming.

Connor Bouchard: (He grins at me as he stalks up to the table. Suddenly, I feel hot - much too hot to attribute to the weather.) Thanks for inviting me, Rose. It's not everyday I get the invitation to be interviewed, especially by a woman like you.

Rose Wynters: (Blushing.) Oh, you. (I wave my hand about in a flustered manner as I try to take control of the interview. It's impossible, I know.) Have a seat, and we'll get started.

Connor Bouchard: (He slides in. Somehow, the man manages to make sitting down look sexy.) Where do you want to start?

Rose Wynters: How about with our readers? Can you give them a reason why they should want to read My Wolf Cowboy?

Connor Bouchard: Because it's about me, of course. (He throws his head back and laughs, exposing his tanned throat and the upper part of his chest. I swallow hard and cross my legs... And then cross them again. He lowers his head and winks at me.) Okay, I'll be serious. My Wolf Cowboy is full our secrets about our lives. Secrets that have long been kept hidden from mainstream society. But it's also my story, so it's full of intense heat and sexual situations. In this book, I come full circle. In more ways than one.

Rose Wynters: Readers want to know. Who is the sheik?

Connor Bouchard: I have no idea. But obviously it's not me. Thankfully. I don't think Natalie would appreciate sharing me. (He laughs.)

Rose Wynters: In the series, you've waited quite awhile to claim your mate. How did that work out for you?

Connor Bouchard: Not too damned good. (Chuckling.) I wouldn't recommend trying it.

Rose Wynters: It was a really sweet and romantic gesture you made, when you bought Natalie the horse named Star. How is Star doing?
Connor Bouchard: She's doing well. Thanks to Natalie, she's just about recuperated from her ordeal. In fact, she's going to have a foal soon.

Rose Wynters: (Smiling.) I'm relieved to hear that. And I'm dying to ask... Was Orlando able to repair his Pinto?

Connor Bouchard: No, thank God.

Rose Wynters: (I stand up and slide my wet palms across my thighs. It's awfully hard to be around a man as sexy as Connor, for any length of time.) Thanks so much for letting me interview you, Connor.

Connor Bouchard: (He grins, but there's an ancient look in his eyes that tells me he's more than aware of why I'm eager to get going.)Anytime, Rose. Anytime.

Review Destruction by Sharon Bayliss

Book One The December People
by Sharon Bayliss

David Vandergraff wants to be a good man. He goes to church every Sunday, keeps his lawn trim and green, and loves his wife and kids more than anything. Unfortunately, being a dark wizard isn't a choice.

Eleven years ago, David's secret second family went missing. When his two lost children are finally found, he learns they suffered years of unthinkable abuse. Ready to make things right, David brings the kids home even though it could mean losing the wife he can't imagine living without.

Keeping his life together becomes harder when the new children claim to be dark wizards. David believes they use this fantasy to cope with their trauma. Until, David's wife admits a secret of her own--she is a dark wizard too, as is David, and all of their children.

Now, David must parent two hurting children from a dark world he doesn't understand and keep his family from falling apart. All while dealing with the realization that everyone he loves, including himself, may be evil.

These are the praises for Destruction by Sharon Bayliss:

"It's a story of family secrets, family struggles, family magic - all wrapped up in a fantasy that is suspenseful, shocking and surprisingly sympathetic." - Jen Estes, Author of The Dreamwalker Diaries Series

"The characters feel like real people, and the story moves at the perfect pace. It's dark, bleak in places, but at the centre of the story is a man who loves his family." Emma Adams, Author of the Darkworld Series

Print Edition Destruction by Sharon BaylissKindle Edition Destruction by Sharon Bayliss

In my opinion the word series is a good thing and especially so in this case because I want more from the December People. Bravo Sharon Bayliss for taking magic to a wonderful level and showing a side of the darkness that we might not be as familiar with.

A paradox right off the bat, and I was thrown quickly into the suspense that was unfolding. Although there is so much information to figure out, there is no back story cluttering up the present. Everything flows smoothly and the story remained interesting.

The five children all exceptional and magical, and two of them quite the surprise!  Each have strong characters and each could have a novel dedicated solely to themselves. My focus was on David and it felt as though the story belonged to him.

“Magic is destruction. At least our magic is. Once you destroy something, you can’t bring it back. It’s gone.” That is a quote, one of my favorites from Destruction, and wow does it hit to the core. How true for lots of reasons even outside of the book, but especially so right on the spot with this story.

The magic this family deals with is labeled as dark magic and instead of being dark, they refuse to practice. As the story unfolds it is realized that the decision to not practice is not that simple, while dreadful things happen to a regular family or better yet, a family trying to be as close to normal as possible.

David is living with the thought that he is keeping a secret, only to find out there are secrets being kept from him. Big ones! When truths come out, everything begins to unravel and in essence the denial of being dark wizards only enhances the very thing they did not want to be.

I loved it! Absolutely loved it! Ready and waiting on book two.

The Bloodline War by Tracy Tappan and Giveaway

Virtual Book Tour Dates: 4/8/14 – 5/6/14
Genres: Paranormal Romance
Tour Promo Price: The Bloodline War will be on an Amazon Countdown Deal over the course of the tour!

THE BLOODLINE WAR, Book One in The Community Series

Beneath the streets of San Diego, California, a unique race of human beings called Vârcolac lives on the brink of extinction. Desperate to save their dying people, a brotherhood of warriors deploys to the surface to steal genetically superior women for a repopulation program.

A car accident changes everything…

A computer hacked hospital blood test confirms that Dr. Toni Parthen carries a gene that’s the key to salvation for a unique race of human beings. Abducted to a secret, underground community, Toni is asked to do the unthinkable: procreate with a man from a race called Vârcolac—a species that must consume the blood of other humans to survive. Then bizarre turns dangerous, because a new, mysterious enemy also wants her special DNA, and Toni finds herself in the middle of an all-out war to possess her.

Destined to be alone…

It’s the job of Jaċken Brun, leader of the Warrior Class, to keep the captured women safe from a demonic race of humans who rule a neighboring part of their underground world. His challenges multiply when Toni inflames the women into mutiny, and then there’s his biggest problem…his growing desire for the infuriating woman herself. Afflicted with a dark genetic makeup, Jaċken can never be with a woman. Until Toni uses her scientific ingenuity to find a way for her and Jaċken to be together. But then the new enemy faction unearths Toni and drags her to their hidden lair, where they’ll inflict an unspeakable cruelty on her to gain access to her valuable genes.

It will take every warrior skill Jaċken owns to save the woman he loves, but only if he can find her in time….

Big, Dark and Murderous was standing over by a black entertainment center, his hands planted on his hips and a scowl knitting his eyebrows into a fierce vee. The proverbial tower of manhood and menace. He was dressed in that super sexy all-black workout gear the warriors wore for training, and although he was still his usual scary self, he also looked surprisingly…well…super sexy.
Toni’s stomach gave a start and then a funny flutter at the sight of him. Powerful muscles stood out in rigid relief against the tight fabric of his gear, his body so clearly articulated with grooves and crevices he could’ve been held up in anatomy class as an example of the perfect male specimen. These are the quadriceps, class, this, the tibialis anterior, and this part right here between his legs is theoh, my. Let’s just all make a ‘yum’ noise, shall we.
Toni briefly closed her eyes. She really needed to get some help.
“Well?” he pressed in a peeved tone. “I asked you a question.”
“Yes, I’m…uh…” I’m here to steal a key card so that I can instigate an escape plan. She covertly scanned the room for inspiration on another excuse, figuring the truth wouldn’t go over well with a man of Jaċken’s temperament. It was then she noticed just how black his bedroom was: black wooden dresser and entertainment center, sleek black lacquered wet bar, black bedspread with a dark gray geometric design on it. Sheesh. If her bedroom was Louis XVI, Dev’s like a cozy room out of a château, then this bedroom—in keeping with the whole French theme—was Marquis de Sade all the way. Well, at least the bedroom fit the man this time.
“I just came to see if, um…” Her gaze zeroed in on a stack of DVD’s in his entertainment center. “If you wouldn’t mind if I borrowed a movie.”
“You ever hear of knocking first? I was about to get into the shower. I could’ve been standing here naked, lady.”
That gave her pause. Despite all logic, the thought of Jaċken naked wasn’t a wholly unpleasant prospect. Not at all, in fact. Clearing her throat, she started forward. “I’m a doctor, Mr. Brun,” she said in the kind of overly patient tone she knew would annoy him. “You surely don’t have anything I haven’t seen before.” Mmm, that was about as big a joke as it had been with Dev.
She drew up right in front of him, and startled as a tingle of sensual awareness lit off a short burst of heat in her belly. She was close enough to smell him now, clean male sweat and a hint of Old Spice deodorant and Irish Springs soap; everything that was completely masculine and just about curled all the fine hairs on her body. An immense power radiated off of him, like the force of a tornado barely held in check, along with determination and confidence and ruthless intelligence, and something…strangely raw.
Her lips parted on a small breath, all that was feminine in her helplessly reacting to him. What was it about this man? How was it that she was even more aware of all the glorious differences between men and women while standing here with Jaċken than she had been with Dev, when he’d been naked as a jaybird?
“Would you mind backing the fuck up?” Jaċken ground out, his nostrils flaring white at the rims. “Being this close to your smell is about as much fun as a fork in the eye.”
Cured, instantly, of all wayward thoughts. Bristling, she plunked her hands on her hips. “Up yours, Jaċken. You’re such a misogynist, I swear to God.”

Parricide by S. Briones Lim

Virtual Book Tour Dates:
4/7/14 – 4/14/14
Genres: Horror/Vampire/Urban Fantasy

Stanley Heckley’s world was torn apart the night his wife and infant daughter were murdered by his wife’s ex-lover, James Gandy. Left with no family to call his own, Stanley is consumed with rage and thirsts to exact revenge in the only way he thinks is fair – to kill Gandy’s entire bloodline.  Unfortunately for Stanley, his timid personality and good conscience makes killing a difficult task to accomplish.
Tormented by his inability to avenge his family, Stanley seeks the help of a distant acquaintance known simply as the vampire, Geoff. Touched by Stanley’s plight, Geoff takes it upon himself to give Stanley a thirst for blood and the talent to kill. As a newly turned vampire, Stanley joins Geoff on a complex mission of murder and vengeance as they hunt each member of the Gandy family one by one, wiping the entire bloodline from existence.
Or so they thought.
Over a century later, Stanley learns that a dire mistake has left one Gandy alive. Once again faced with the monsters of his past, Stanley finds himself returning to his hometown of Meyers to hunt the remaining descendant, Amanda.  From the get-go, Stanley’s mission is plagued with many obstacles including a new henchman for Geoff, a ghost of a young, sadistic girl, and the fact that Amanda looks remarkably like his late wife. For this member of the undead, hunting the final Gandy may just be the death of him.

April 9, 1904
No! Please don’t shoot!” Her voice wavered slightly though she tried her hardest to remain firm and unfazed. Had it not been for the tremor in her tone and the unmistakable trembling of her shoulders, the intruder might have bought her act of valor.
The terrified cries of my wife echoed against the bare wooden walls causing me to run in a panic. I flew down a flight of stairs towards the parlor area and noticed the dim flicker of a single candle illuminating the room. It added an eerie ambiance to what was to be the most horrifying moment of my life.
Gandy! What do you think you’re doing?! Get your hands off my wife!” I shouted with pure ferocity. I wouldn’t be surprised if the blood vessels in my eyes had burst open given the tint of red that shadowed my vision.
Well, well, lookit ‘ere who it is,” Gandy slurred drunkenly as he gripped my wife’s strawberry blond hair between his fingers. “It’s Stanley Heckley! Or might I say, the Great Stanley Heckley.” He cackled and peered down at my wife.
My eyes fell instantly onto Christiana’s tear stained face. I made an attempt to rush forward, however, she shook her head slightly and mouthed, “Go! Save Katie.”
My stomach wrenched as I pictured our three-month-old daughter hidden under the floorboards in the main room upstairs. She was safe – for now.
I cleared my throat and stood up straighter. Holding my hands out as a final plea, I said as calmly, but with as much authority as I could muster, “Gandy, please put down the gun. You had a little too much to drink tonight and I promise that if you walk out of here this instant, I will not tell the authorities of this little incident.”
I braced myself for his reaction and was surprised to hear a hearty chuckle in response. Christiana winced as he continued his belly laugh and pulled tightly against her head. Her beautiful braid was now a rat’s nest and I was surprised not to find clumps of her pinkish locks strewn along the floor.
Do you think you have the right to tell me what to do?” Gandy laughed hysterically. With his gun toting hand he reached up and wiped tears from the corners of his eyes.
I beg your pardon but I don’t see the humor in this situation,” I growled.
You want to know what’s funny?” Gandy snapped. “The fact that Christiana here picked you over me. What does she see in you anyway? Nothing but a stack of cash that your daddy gave you.”
I glanced around the room frantically, looking for any escape route. My eyes focused on the window and my mind methodically went over any possible option I had to get my family out of this situation. It was as if everything was running in slow motion, from the flow of my blood through my veins to the harsh beating of my pained heart.
Are you listening to me?!” Gandy’s hazy voice interrupted my frantic thoughts.
I gulped. “Yes, Gandy.”
His eyes widened as he pointed the barrel toward me. Christiana gasped and began pleading frantically, begging for him to drop the gun. Ignoring her cries, he lifted an eyebrow as he looked me dead in the eye. “It’s yes, sir,” he corrected.
I nodded my head. “Yes, sir,” I replied through gritted teeth.
His lips curled up into a sinister grin and he began pacing the room dragging Christiana along with him. She grabbed at his hand, trying to pry his fingers from her scalp, but was unsuccessful. The gray skirt of her dress, a birthday present from me, dragged behind her, becoming soiled with the dust from the floor.
Now, I don’t know why you’re stupid enough to come back to town,” he said through gritted teeth. “The folks here were finally steer clear of the Heckleys, yet here you are infesting our town again with your filthy riches. You think your family’s better than all of us here, don’t you? Just because of your blue blood ways.”
Gandy,” I said in an even tone. It pained me to even speak, my throat dry and parched from fear. “Please leave my property. We’ll deal with this when you’re sober in the morning.”
This ain’t about being sober! This is about the abomination that your family has bestowed upon the less privileged. That’s why you came back to town now, isn’t it? To take over all the businesses that your greedy father wasn’t able to get his cold, vile hands on! You should have stayed in God knows where you were!”
It was a mistake to come back,” I agreed as I nodded my head; and good God did I agree. “We only came back to tie up ends concerning my father’s estate. Nothing more.”
Ah, yes,” he grinned. “That’s right! Your old man croaked a month ago, didn’t he?”
My blood began boiling and instinctively my fists clenched together. “Yes,” I said in a raspy tone. The pain of having lost my father still burned freshly in my heart. Hearing Gandy speak so nonchalantly about his passing made me want to gouge his eyes out. That would have to wait. For now I needed to focus on helping my sweet wife.
I cleared my throat and continued, “We’ll tie up loose ends and leave town immediately.” I gestured towards the room. “We’ll leave this house and never return to it again.” My eyes widened as realization came over me. “Is this what you want? Do you want my property? It’s yours! Take it! Take everything in here!”
Gandy snickered. “I don’t want your house,” he snapped. He glanced down at Christiana and brushed the gun across her face. She and I stiffened simultaneously, our breaths caught in our throats. “What I do want is your wife,” he continued.
I’m sorry, but I can’t do that,” I replied angrily.
Why? She’s already mine!” He shouted. “Do you really think your sweet Christiana was a virgin when she met you? When she wed you? Her naked body was under mine before you even had a chance to look her in the eye!”
Though I tried to remain calm and composed, I couldn’t help but glance desperately at my wife. Her eyes were clamped shut and she began to sob, proof that what Gandy had said was true.
It was a long time ago!” Christiana screamed. “Before I met you!”
Shut up, whore!” Gandy growled.
I gulped. “I don’t care,” I said sternly. “She is my wife and anything she may have done before me is of no consequence. I took a vow.” Christiana’s eyelids flew open in relief. Her gaze fell upon mine and we held each other’s eyes as if saying silent I love you’s though it felt more like goodbyes.
Gandy stiffened and gripped her hair tighter. Losing composure he stammered, “Well, did she tell you we made love a quarter’s night ago?”
Christiana had been with me, caring for our infant daughter. Gandy was full of fucking shit. Though I felt like rolling my eyes, I knew better. “Gandy,” I said instead. “It is late and I demand you to leave my property.”
Gandy’s hands began to grow limp and for a moment I thought that we would be able to put this whole unfortunate situation behind us. My family and I would leave town immediately, never glancing back. Father’s estate would just have to take care of itself and it could stay rotting. It could be food for the termites and worms for all I cared. Unfortunately, that is not how it happened.
Katie’s cry rang through the household, a cry for food, for love, for attention? A cry that still rings through my head every day.
What is that?” Gandy cried out in a horrified tone. “Another Heckley?!” He looked down at Christiana’s face in shock and anger. “How dare you breed another member of this foul family?” Gandy released her hair, throwing Christiana to the ground. He quickly turned on his heel making his way through my house. His gangly body made odd shadows on the wall as his loose, wavy, blond hair flew in wisps behind him.
No!” Christiana shouted. She ran after him, pushing him away as she followed Katie’s cries. She ran quickly up the stairs, frantically searching for our daughter. Though I had hidden our infant under a loose floorboard, the emptiness of the house made it difficult to mask her cries. The acoustics amplified her wails easily marking her hiding place.
Gandy  steadied  himself,  having  never  let  go  of  the  gun,  and  began  sprinting  after Christiana. He raced up the grand staircase, two steps at a time, and was quickly gaining ground. I desperately followed after him and flew up the staircase as rapidly as I could. A surge of adrenaline rushed through me and I quickly caught up with him in the upstairs hallway, tackling him to the ground. I grabbed at his hand and began beating it against the wooden stair rail, trying to dislodge the gun. Briefly looking up, I noticed Christiana through the open door of the master bedroom retrieving Katie, carefully swaddling her in her arms.
Run!” I shouted as I successfully knocked the gun out of Gandy’s thin hand. He growled in pain as I pushed his palm into the ground.
Christiana nodded and looked around for an exit. Remembering the ancient Servants’ passageway, she turned and headed for the door, trying to make a sudden right into the adjacent hallway. Simultaneously, Gandy managed to knee me in the groin and bit my hand, knocking the breath out of me. I fell backwards for a moment, looking up in time to see him grab his gun. Regaining my balance, I lunged forward in an attempt to tackle him. Unfortunately, it was too late. As if in slow motion I saw him cock his gun and aim toward my wife and daughter. With a deafening bang, Gandy pulled the trigger, the gun recoiling against him. Christiana’s eyes went wide as the bullet flew towards her, penetrating my baby girl and in turn traveling through my wife’s body.
NO!” I screamed.
My throat went hoarse and tears burned my eyes as I watched my family fall to the ground. Blood trickled from Christiana’s mouth and her eyes rolled back, lifeless and vacant. Red stains smeared Katie’s crocheted blanket, turning pink towards the white edges.
Panting heavily, I looked down at Gandy who appeared surprised himself; disbelieving of his own atrocious act. I yelled out inaudibly and kicked out my black leather boot, hitting him square across his face. He fell backward, loosening his grip on the gun, and his nose quickly began spouting out spurts of blood. Quickly grabbing for the gun, I reveled in the cold steel against my palm. Aiming it straight for Gandy’s head, I pulled the hammer back and placed my finger on the trigger.
Do it!” Gandy demanded. “Do it! I just killed my one and only love!” He began sobbing, the effects of alcohol wearing off his body.
She never loved you,” I hissed. My hand began trembling, my grip on the gun growing weaker with each passing second. “So what if she slept with you? It was a long time ago and you were just a warm body who never had a hold of her heart.”
He growled at me with narrowed eyes, but soon started laughing as he focused in on the shaking gun. “You can’t do it, can you? You can’t pull that trigger! You may be a useless fuck getting all you want with daddy’s money, but you don’t have the ballocks to kill a man – even when he just shot the fuck out of your family!”
Trembling with rage I applied pressure to the trigger.

My Library

John McIntire Library

It had been too long since last checking out a book from my library. My library card had expired and so much time had gone by I was concerned they would not renew it. My understanding is you must be a local resident or live in the same county of your library to have a membership.

After arriving home to Ohio, one of the first things I did was get my library card and I did keep it active. However, we moved out of the county. A year or so had gone by before I realized how devastating it was going to be for me if I could not get my library card renewed.

The county I live in presently has a library and it is closer for me to visit, but they do not offer any of the wonderful programs that the John McIntire Library offers.

Without the John McIntire Library I can not find books on line and request to have them put on hold, nor can I browse the digital downloads and make my selections online then download directly to my Kindle. There is no state wide borrowing system.  It would have been more than disappointing to me if I would have lost privileges to my current library system.

The John McIntire Library is an amazing place and it is exciting to visit. They have a terrific computer lab upstairs and even offer classes to the public, including how to use computers, internet, windows, and other software programs. The library also has many records available to the public and volunteers run an incredible genealogy resource center.

An event is always happening to get the community involved. During this month's calendar a visit from the Easter Bunny is planned, a meeting with information for students that are getting ready to graduate, and a two for one book discussion "The Burgess Boys" by Elizabeth Strout and "The Good-Bye Door" by Diana Britt Franklin.

I am totally looking forward to the Buck-A-Bag of Books Sale! This event is sponsored by Friends of the Muskingum County Library System. Just purchase bags for $1.00 from the Friends then browse and select from hundreds of gently used treasures.

Digital downloads are not neglected with a John Mcintire Library card. Zinio offers many magazine titles and The Ohio Digital Library is chalked full of ebooks, audio books, music and videos for all Ohio residents with a participating library card.

What I have found to be absolutely amazing, if the library does not have a book for me they will find it! Yes, our local library belongs to a state wide borrowing system, so if we do not have it here locally they will find it and it will be sent to the library of my choice for me to pick up! And it does not cost me a dime, not even for the postage!

My library of choice! Yes, that is correct. There are five branches to the John Mcintire Library and the branch I visit is just a few miles from my home, and it makes it so easy to get any book I need.

I absolutely love my library!
