Ruthi Reads WOW WEEKLY 100 WORDS -01.05.11

WOW WEEKLY 100 WORDSMy week has not gone as planned at all. I was sick on New Years Eve and I kept chugging along thinking it would pass. Hubby and I just kept going and our colds kept getting worse. His hit him hard over the weekend and mine kicked in full force Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday I felt like I could not breath, and all week really since New Year's Eve I have felt really bad. It has just been a yucky week and I have not kept up with my reading schedule at all because what I  should have been reading are galleys and I do not have a kindle or any sort of reader, so I'm stuck at the computer with those. I just have not felt like it. The actual book I have on my list is part of a series and since it is the middle book, I am a bit frustrated that I can not get my hands on the first. I did reach for some very familiar reads that I simply adore and since they will fit for the Vampire Chronicle Challenge, I decided to re-read them and will do my reviews for them soon.

I love this blog hop Ruthi. It gets me charged and thank you for letting me part of it with you.

Both reads are my own copies, books that I purchased brand new years ago. I scanned my own books, they look worn but that is because I love them so much.

And that is the end of the story really. Of course, I know you wonder what happened to us afterward. What became of Armand? Where did I go? What did I do? But I tell you nothing really happened. Nothing that wasn’t merely inevitable. And my journey through the Louvre that last night I've described to you, that was merely prophetic.
I never changed after that. I sought for nothing in the one great source of change which is humanity. And even in my love and absorption with the beauty of the world, I sought to learn nothing that could be given back to humanity.

The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice

Right now I am what America calls a Rock Superstar. My first album has sold 4 million copies. I'm going to San Francisco for the first spot on a nationwide concert tour that will take my band from coast to coast. MTV, the rock music cable channel, has been playing my video clips night and day for two weeks. They're also being shown in England on "Top of the Pops" and on the Continent, probably in some parts of Asia, and in Japan. Video cassettes of the whole series of clips are selling worldwide.
I am also author of an…..

That night was too beautiful. And Louis’s diatribe was becoming all the more heated and hilarious:
You’re a perfect devil, Lestat!” he was saying. “That’s what you are! You are the devil himself!”
“Yes, I know.” I said, loving to look at him, to see the anger pumping him so full of life. “And I love to hear you say it, Louis. I need to hear you say it. I don’t think anyone will ever say it quite like you do. Come on, say it again. I’m a perfect devil. Tell me how bad I am. It makes me feel so good.”

I am feeling better today and getting back my energy to move around and get back into the swing of life again. I have not given up on my scheduled TBR list, but just unable to read at the computer right now. I will catch up on my galleys, but for a little while I'm going to do some reading with real books I can hold in my hands.
